My definition of a traveler is a person who makes their living by traveling, a person who works on the road, who earns their resources to travel while traveling -- a person who travels perpetually not only because they love it but because this is their lifestyle.
A lawyer makes their living practicing law, a shop keeper keeps a shop, and a traveler travels.
A person who plays backyard football is not called a "football player," and it is my impression that someone who has a home base somewhere that they must return to for the purposes of making money is not a traveler.
It is my impression that you are asking me to define the main attributes of a traveler, as in someone who lives a lifestyle where they move about the world perpetually, and I feel that the pinnacle attribute from any lifestyle is that you make up the resources to live while doing it. So a traveler is someone who devises the resources to live and travel while traveling.
Though there are also other criteria for defining a traveler:
1. Makes money on the road.
2. Has been traveling perpetually for at least two years.
3. Follows the and does not stay in any single location over this amount of time.
4. Has traveled in Central and/ or South America, Europe, Africa, India, and East Asia.
